FALL COLORS CHALLENGE

This week's challenge from Totally Stampalicious is to do a card with Fall colors.  I'm right in the middle of a Christmas cardmaking blitz, so I don't have any new "Fall-ish" cards.  So here's a card I did last week with one of my favorite characters, "Gus Hunter."  With his camouflage gear, he is definitely a "Fall" man.

GUS HUNTER

When I saw Totally Stampalicious' "Gus Hunter", I knew I had to get it to make cards for my Great-Nephew and a friend.  They are both hunters and will love the sentiments that come with the image.  Then I saw the camouflage paper at Michaels and knew I had the perfect combo.

Here are some of the cards I made with them.  I will post all the materials on SplitCoast Stampers Gallery within the next few days.  Just search the gallery for carleneanne or Totally Stampalicious or Gus Hunter.

Isn't this saying perfect for hunters?

Another saying from the set.

How about this for an Anniversary card! LOL!

MY PROBLEM WITH TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS - LOL!

OKAY!  I admit it...I have a problem with Totally Stampalicious stamps.  Actually, I have two problems.

My first problem occurs when my order arrives.  The stamps compete with each other to be the first one to get inked up.  Choosing which image gets to go first takes more time than choosing papers, colors and layouts.

My second problem occurs when I have to decide which of the many phrases that come with each image will be used on which card, and whether or not it will go on the front or the inside of the card.  One of these days..I swear...I'm going to use every phase on a single card just so I don't have to choose!

This week I inked up "Misery Stella."  Even though her phrases are more serious, I still had a great deal of difficulty deciding which to use where.  She is the epitome of encouragement with a little humor.

Here are some of the cards I made with her.  I will post all the materials on the SplitCoast Gallery within the next few days.  You can find them there under carleneanne or Totally Stampalicious or Misery Stella.

GONE FISHING

TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS' "Gus Fishing" provided me with lots of fun this past week.  Here are some of the cards I made with that image.

I will post all the details on Splitcoast Stampers' Gallery some time this week.  My name there is carleneanne, or you could just search for Totally Stampalicious or Gus Fishing.

FYI...I am a firm believer that there are VERY FEW mistakes that can't be corrected in cardmaking.  I was adding the last of my Copic coloring to this image (and you know how long it takes to color and blend!) when this GIGANTIC blob of ink came out of the nib all over the fishing lure (see the lure in other pictures) and all over the background.  I tried over and over to erase it with my colorless blender to no avail.  Determined not to throw out all of my work, I decided to cut out the image and cut off the fishing lure.  Then, I just created a new background.

So, don't throw out mistakes...find a way to salvage your card!

This is just a close-up of Gus in his boat.
